BAHAMAS CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP HISTORY

BAHAMAS CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP CENTRE

  • + BCFC HISTORY:

    Then the Lord replied:

“Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the revelation await an appointed time, it speaks of the end and will not prove false, though it linger, wait for it, it will certainly come and will not delay.”

Twenty years ago, the Holy Spirit birthed a vision in the heart of our Pastor, Apostle Paul J. Butler to establish Bahamas Christian Fellowship Centre.  Prior to this, Apostle Butler worked as a government labor officer.  He resigned this position in December of 1987 and went into full time evangelism in January of 1988.  Eighteen months later, he received direction from the Lord to begin a church fellowship.

The vision was clear and the thrust of this new ministry encompassed far more than the ordinary. The assignment included developing a people of purpose, power and praise and raising up a strong ministry that would be a witness of God’s power with signs, wonders and miracles in light of the spiritual drought in our nation.

The overall vision of Bahamas Christian Fellowship Centre is to:

. Reveal God’s power and love to our nation through expressions of godly love, gifts of the Spirit and service excellence.

. Equip and train ministry leaders for the work of the ministry.

. Be a resource Centre for knowledge, training and a refuge station for physical, emotional and spiritual healing.

. Sponsor international outreach through evangelism to other nations of the world, and equipping believers to fulfill their ministry call.

On October 1st, 1989 the first service was held with six members at the former Wyndham Ambassador Beach Hotel.  Then in 1990 we moved to the Poinciana Arena on Bernard Road.

. In 1991 the church was incorporated to conduct business on behalf of Bahamas Christian Fellowship Centre and the Paul Butler Worldwide Ministries Outreach Arm.

    Miracle Breakthrough Television was launched.

. In 1995 The church move to its present location on Carmichael Road - under a tent.

. In 2001 the Administrative officers were erected and dedicated.

. In 2002 The Kingdom Association of International Ministries and Churches with five regions formed presently named Kingdom Global Alliance

. In 2002 & 2003 our Churches embarked on several missions trips to Africa, Guatemala, Costa Rica, South America, Barbados and the USA.

. In 2004 the church edifice and training Centre estimated to hold 2,700 was completed.  Also we hosted our 1st Annual International Apostles, Prophets and Pastors Conference. During this conference Apostle Butler was bestowed into the Apostleship.

. In 2005 – 2006 our church embarked on another mission trip, this time to Haiti.  We also held the installation of Ministers, Deacons and Lay Ministers to help equip us for the work of the Lord.

. In June 2007 our 4th Annual Gathering of Ministry Gifts Conference was held in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and our Restoration Women’s Conference was held here in Nassau in October of the same year.

. In February of 2008 we took our Gathering of Ministry Gifts Conference to Freeport, Grand Bahama.

In April we traveled to Toluca, Mexico for a mass out door mission crusade and Ministers and Leaders Training.  Then in June of 2008 we hosted Mission Bahamas, 2008.

All endeavors throughout the years were of great success, but more importantly souls came to the Lord.  The supernatural through signs, wonders and miracles were seen and membership increased.  B.C.F.C. has not lost sight of its vision.  We are appreciative to the Lord for all he has done for us and will continue to do in the years to come.
